The Rise Timer is a palm-size timer for high intensity interval workouts.

The timer keeps your workout on track with several loud audio cues:
- Three warning chirps in the three seconds leading to the start of the work interval
- A one second start signal, which sounds like a referee's whistle
- A verbal warning ("Ten seconds") at the ten seconds remaining
- A stop signal indicating the beginning of the rest period - and also indicates the number of repetitions completed in that cycle
- The work and rest intervals can be programmed with intervals from 10-90 seconds.
- The number of reps in a cycle (typically 7-8) and the number of cycles (typically 7 for a half hour workout) are programmed.
- The pause between cycles (typically 30 seconds) can also be set.
- It will reach across the noisiest park or gym. We've included one of the loudest piezo-driven speakers (108dB) on the market. We can hear it clear across a typical 400m outdoor track.
- For more discreet situations, we've included volume control, mute and LED indicators for quiet or silent operation. We've found that this is great for gyms or public places where loud noises would be obnoxious to others.
- For most of us who like working out with music and have huge PA systems already in place (hey, CrossFit gyms out there!), we've included 1/8" inch audio pass-through for plugging into existing PA and stereo systems to play music and timer simultaneously.
- It will always work. We've included a lithium polymer battery that can power at least 20 1/2 hour workouts at full volume, with a USB-charging jack. Charge it once a week, once a month. Or every night.
- It is designed for professional use, where your income and livelihood depend upon it. We've watched as our prototypes were kicked, dropped and generally beat up in daily use. We worry if the power switch will get hit as it bounces around in your gym bag, and what will happen to it when it sits next to your sweaty socks.
